Lift Outages at The Strand Arcade

All lifts within the Strand Arcade are currently out of service due to urgent maintenance. These repairs are vital, and the lifts will remain unavailable for the time being. For access to retailers from Basement to Levels 1-5, please use the stairs on either side of the building.

Built in 1891, The Strand Arcade has been a proud and beautiful symbol of Sydney's heritage for over 130 years. Like all enduring landmarks, occasional operational challenges come with age, and we are working diligently to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Restoring the lifts is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme

The Strand Arcade is proudly adopting the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, showing our commitment to inclusivity, acceptance, and support for customers living with non-visible disabilities.

What is the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program?

Around one in five Australians live with a disability, and an estimated 80 percent of disabilities are invisible. Some are not immediately obvious, such as autism, chronic pain, dementia, anxiety as well as visual or hearing impairments.

The program is a discreet way for those with less visible conditions to indicate that they may need additional support or a little more time by simply wearing a Sunflower pin, wristband, or lanyard.

How does this help me?

We encourage customers who need assistance to look out for our centre staff wearing a white Hidden Disabilities supporter Sunflower pin, wristband, or lanyard, or visit our customer service desk for more information.

Anyone with a hidden disability can wear a Sunflower product.
